Experience: Every Moment in Global Village

Global village is not just literary a village, but it is an event where every country showcases their own culture and their best product. This is also big event wherein dancing and singing are also showcased. This is not only for the students but for everyone because the main objective of this event is for socializing and empowering the uniqueness of each country.

Using the Grab as our transportation, we went to the Gedung Sate, this is now their Governor’s office of the West Java province in Indonesia and this is one of the famous tourist attractions in Bandung.

Beside of the Gedung Sate is the venue of the event which is the Global Village. This is an international event so we paid a ticket to enter the said event. As we went in, we saw lots of people from the different countries, who were dressed with their own traditional costume. The best part of it, is that they have a free taste of their own products in their own countries. But it was unfortunate for me because Representatives from the Philippines weren’t able to come and yet we were expecting that there would be Filipinos over there. Even though there was no representative at the Philippines, at least we enjoyed a lot especially in tasting the different products of the different countries because some of the products were spicy and sweet. We also enjoyed in watching the fashion show, where every country has a candidate to join in that certain event and showcase their traditional costume. After that, they were given a chance to showcase their dances. Happily, we were also able to dance with them too, even if it was rainy, the weather didn’t bother us. What is important is that we enjoyed the event.

Lastly, no matter who and what you are. The important part is that we are equal no matter what race you came from. I learned something in this event because I’ve seen that equality is felt in this country. There is no such thing as racism in this event, because the aim of this global village is to enrich more the international students to their culture and product and show the uniqueness of everyone.

Touchdown INDONESIA! Sitting in the corner in the plane I felt my heart beats fast, my hand and foot is shaking and my mind is like blowing away. We arrived the airport of Indonesia, I can feel the cold just simple and clean, I went out to the airport and someone have a printed in wind touches my skin and as my lips dried up because of cold.
