SEA Teachers the Opening Program

When all the SEA Teachers came to the UPI, we decided to have a dinner for us to know each other and to have a little introduction. The candidates of SEA Teachers came from Thailand wherein there are 4 of them while the Philippines has 9. The Philippines have three big group of Islands where those 9 candidates of SEA Teacher came from. Those three big islands are Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

The following day is our Opening Program for those SEA Teachers. So we wore our formal attire in that day to be presentable, and in that day also. They introduced to us the school where we will be teaching and be deployed at. They also introduced to us our mentors in Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) and our head masters or principals in the school. After the opening remarks or program, they gave us a chance to meet and greet with our mentors and head masters, we discussed what will we going to do when we are in the field of teaching and what will be our strategies. Well, they told us that we should just be teaching by having conceptual strategy or learning, so that the students will be able to develop their critical thinking skills and be more realistic about the different experiences they have. Especially that I am now their teacher in Social Studies.

       At my left side is my mentor from the Office of Social Studies- Mr. Iqbal and my right side is one of the SEA Teachers also she came from the Thailand and teaching History. 
They give a chance to us to take a picture in ISOLA and roamed around the campus of UPI.
    VILLA ISOLA-this is one of the heritage or tourist spot in Indonesia where the location of it is in         the UPI.
    The Museum of UPI. 
     They have also a wide gymnasium.


      They have also a swimming pool, as deep as the Olympic swimming pool.

Deployment Day On weekdays here in Bandung they also keep in talking about the traffic jam, but they do not know the traffic jam in the Manila, Philippines where it is worse than here in Bandung. Touchdown INDONESIA! Sitting in the corner in the plane I felt my heart beats fast, my hand and foot is shaking and my mind is like blowing away. We arrived the airport of Indonesia, I can feel the cold just simple and clean, I went out to the airport and someone have a printed in wind touches my skin and as my lips dried up because of cold. Observation and My Experience in Teaching D oing observations has a really big impact to me; this is very common for us to observe first before we will execute teaching to the students. In teaching you must know your students first on how or what they want in learning, to be attracted or to attach to them so that you can get their interests.
